login
This article is about the login UDB event handler.
login
The login event may be called from web pages developed in Web Designer and processed by a USoft page engine service.
| Event | Applies to | Occurs when |
|---|---|---|
login | Page objects | After each login action |
This event is triggered internally on the global UdbApplication object, from the process() function of the Login class (usoft.module.server.js), only when the server response reports loginStatus === 'true'. No options object is passed with this event.
How to use
Find or create an Event Listener object with Event Type = login. Event Listeners are in the Web Designer Controls catalog:
Insert the event listener into the Page object. Insert a callClientScript action into the event listener. Use this action's Script property to code the behaviour that you want to see when the event occurs.
Single sign-on (SSO)
When SSO is configured, authentication happens through a full browser redirect to an external SSO endpoint rather than through the UdbApplication.login() function. Because the login event is only triggered from within that function's processing of a server login response, login never fires under SSO; the authenticated state is set directly by calling UdbApplication.setLoginStatus(true).
